Citizen kaNO

kaNO dunk girl

I’ve had this picture drawn by KaNO for a few years now .  I thought of it last night and I wanted to share it with everyone but not as the pic of the day because I wanted to show more of kaNO’s art.  A New York designer and illustrator this picture started my love of his style and I already have my eye on a few pieces of work that I want including his book and limited edition wallet. Here are a few other things hes done.  More >

EVO2K10 Stick Art Prototype

While entitled prototype I think this will be the final product, I just need to do a few test prints to make sure the text spacing looks good in person.  The art is based on the new challenger screen from Melty Blood Actress Again the fighting game that won players choice for final game at the Evolution fighting game tournament in Vegas this July.

Louis Vuitton X Murakami QR Code

I’ve been on the job hunt the last few days so unfortunately this update will be pretty lackluster but it’s something that has been on my mind especially since I found someone who was selling a poster of the qr code.  For those that don’t know what a qr code is, think of it as a barcode that you can scan that  links you to websites and other information, very big in Japan as most phone cameras are able to read the codes.  Check out the first designer qr code which was made last year with another collaboration between LV and Takashi Murakami.

lv x murakami code

QR Codes are the bar codes of the future, linking online and physical graphics to websites and multi-media. For the most part, the codes have still maintained an abstract look akin to their predecessors.

A recently released designer QR symbol, produced by Tokyo based creative agency SET is looking to change all that with a stylized remake of the standard code. Mixing design with technological innovation, SET teamed up Takashi Murakami with Louis Vuitton to create a distinctive code featuring one of the artist’s characters and the classic LV pattern. The agency hopes this will add much needed style and character to the bland world of machine readable codes.

The First Modded Standard Edition SF4 Stick Appears

Very nicely done and he explains in depth what he did which helps me a lot especially as I like to change my art up every now and again.  As soon as I get my stick from a good friend who was nice enough to preorder it for me so  could I pay him later I’ll get to work on mine. Pictures of the art I plan to use and of the kof stick after the jump. If you like his stick and how it came out go here to see how he did it. More >
